With the new Betfred Super League season edging ever closer, the Totally Wicked Stadium was delighted to welcome St.Helens' First Team Kit Partners and Player Sponsors for a day to remember!
Paul Wellens’ men have been hard at work getting ready for the new league campaign, and one of the key stadium training sessions was opened up to our Kit Partners and Player Sponsors to observe and gain fascinating behind-the-scenes insight.
Compered by the Saints’ Matchday Corporate Host Pete Emmett, our commercial sponsors took in the session before sitting down to a wonderful lunch as the players came off the field.
The Saints’ new Leadership, Culture & Performance Coach, James Roby, took to the stage to discuss his new role alongside Head of Performance Matt Daniels, and the Head Coach himself Paul Wellens. The trio detailed how Pre-Season has been so far and shared stories of the hard work that was put in during the Red V’s camp in Cyprus, which included working with 1 Lancs Regiment.
Our 32-man First Team squad made their entrance into the 1873 Lounge to meet, thank and network with their Player Sponsors, before Emmett invited each player with their sponsor on stage for an official photograph.
The Saints’ Kit Partners then joined the players and Coaching Staff into the stands for the annual team photo, taken in the stands due to the strong adverse weather. Upon completion of the players’ club media duties, the weather just held off long enough to get the traditional annual team photograph on the pitch at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
