Ahead of the 2024 staging of the World Club Challenge, the Saints Studios' documentary film that went behind the scenes of St.Helens' victory in the 2023 competition will be shown on Sky Sports.
Following more than a month-long exclusivity period on our Club’s official on-demand video channel Saints TV, Saints Down Under: History Makers will now be shown by Betfred Super League’s main broadcast partner Sky Sports.
Sky Sports approached the Club looking to televise our very own club-produced documentary ahead of the 2024 World Club Challenge match between Wigan Warriors and Penrith Panthers this Saturday (24th February).
Saints Down Under: History Makers will be shown this week following Sky Sports programming of Hull KR vs Leeds Rhinos on Thursday evening (22nd February) and Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC on Friday night (23rd February), and it will also be available on-demand through Sky too.
The Club is thrilled following a record number of Saints TV subscribers that a new and wider audience will get the chance to watch the insightful documentary which follows the Red V’s entire 2023 trip to Australia; from the 5am coach pick-up at the Totally Wicked Stadium through to James Roby leading the team song in the changing rooms at the BlueBet Stadium in Penrith.
The film takes viewers inside the team camp with unprecedented and unfettered access that has never been done before by the Club. The story and the journey of the team is told directly by they themselves, mixed with the exclusive access of training sessions, team meetings and activities too.
This documentary showcases the desire and preparation by all involved at the Club to achieve what just might be the biggest win in the Saints’ gloriously storied 150-year history.
Supporters have been able to get the first-look at Saints Down Under: History Makers through Saints TV where it will also remain for subscribers to watch at their viewing leisure, alongside full match replays allowing fans to watch every try, tackle, and run from our:
