The Saints Head Coach previews this Friday's fixture at home against Leigh Leopards.
Paul Wellens began his press conference with the latest update on Matty Lees who unfortunately had to go to the hospital following Saturday’s match, revealing this week’s match might be too soon but the Club would monitor him ahead of next week’s home game against Salford Red Devils.
There is a derby feel to Friday’s match though against Adrian Lam’s Leopards, and the Red V boss recalled that feeling in all three meetings between Saints and Leigh last season. He also spoke of how each match came down to the final minutes before being decided, so we could expect similar at the Totally Wicked Stadium this weekend.
Wellens also speaks about some of the options he may have for the Round Three clash with; Konrad Hurrell possibly coming back into contention following illness, Waqa Blake having a solid game in the centre spot at Huddersfield, and Jon Bennison did so too on the wing.
