It is a busy week for St.Helens as we have four matches to play with our Scholarship, First Team, Women, and Reserves all in action!
First up on Thursday night our Under 18’s begin the 2024 Academy Championship campaign away at Leeds. Just over 24 hours later on Friday, Paul Wellens’ charges take also take on the Rhinos in Round Five of Betfred Super League 2024.
It is the first official hit-out for our Women’s team on Saturday to close out a busy Saints week, with the London Broncos Women coming to the Totally Wicked Stadium to kick-off the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Group Stage.

WEDNESDAY
Scholarship vs Wigan Warriors (A)
Derby Day awaits for our Saints Under 16s players, and what a way to kick-off their 2024 season with an away trip to our old rivals Wigan.
Our youngest team play their first of eight matches between now and the middle of July, looking to develop themselves and grow as athletes and on off the field.
Good luck to our Scholars in their first hit-out of the season!

FRIDAY
First Team vs Leeds Rhinos (A)
It’s the second of our back-to-back trips to the home of the Rhinos after last Friday’s league victory.
A spot in the final eight of the Challenge Cup is up for grabs, and the Saints know that a wounded Leeds outfit will be eager to get one back over the Red V after losing to a comeback fight from Paul Wellens’ men from 8-0 down to 8-18 come the full time whistle.

SATURDAY
Women vs Bradford Bulls (A)
Matty Smith’s team dominated their opening match of the new Women’s Rugby League season last Saturday afternoon with a 64-0 victory over London Broncos Ladies to go top of the group table in the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.
Matchday Two of the groups sees the Red V travel over to Bradford to take on the Bulls Women, who will be smarting after a big loss to Warrington Wolves at home last weekend.
The Saints’ defence of the Cup for a fourth straight season got off to a flying start, can they build on it?

Reserves vs Leeds Rhinos (H)
Derek Hardman’s young Saints Reserves began their 2024 season with a huge home victory over Salford Red Devils a fortnight ago, beating them 64-16. The result saw them take top spot in the league ladder and they will be eager to keep that spot but welcome a tough challenge with Leeds coming to town.
Leeds Reserves fell short in their opening match away at Leigh Leopards, 34-24, so will be fighting for their first win in 2024.
