St.Helens forward James Bell and the Club have been unsuccessful in an appeal against a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B 'Dangerous Contact' offence.
The independent Operational Rules Tribunal upheld the charge that was issued following the Saints’ victory over Leeds Rhinos in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup 2024.
The Club’s challenge to the grading was unsuccessful meaning that the penalty notice remains and as a result of that, Bell will be unavailable for selection this Friday afternoon’s Good Friday fixture against Wigan Warriors.
Furthermore, the Club also lost our £500 bond as a result of the unsuccessful challenge, and Bell still has his £250 fine to pay.
