Head Coach Paul Wellens has confirmed his 21-man squad for The Derby against Wigan Warriors on Good Friday, 29th March 2024!
This hugely anticipated fixture is at a sold-out Totally Wicked Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 3pm, with over 14,000 Saints supporters and almost 4,000 visiting fans primed to make an incredible atmosphere on one of the biggest days in the rugby league calendar.
An Easter tradition, the Good Friday meeting between Saints and Warriors has created some of the most memorable and talked about moments of the Super League era. This match sees two of the best rugby league clubs on the planet meeting in the latest chapter of a historic, storied rivalry.

Paul Wellens makes two changes to the squad that was victorious in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup last Friday night, away at Leeds Rhinos. Tommy Makinson and Mark Percival are both available for selection, Makinson after an injury in the warm up kept him from playing in the league match against Leeds, and Percival after serving a two-match suspension can feature too.
Stepping out of the squad are James Bell and Tee Ritson. Bell this week was issued a one-match penalty notice which was unsuccessfully appealed and upheld, meaning he cannot play in this Friday’s fixture.
Lewis Dodd was stood down for the Cup match but was named in the 21-man squad last week, but the Saints boss has confirmed the half-back could feature against Wigan.
Good Friday at Saints is SOLD OUT! There are no tickets left, so we’re encouraging St.Helens supporters to arrive early and be there for when the team arrive at 1:10pm by the Keiron Cunningham statue!
