Our Head Coach Paul Wellens spoke to the press ahead of Sunday's big Cup clash against Warrington Wolves!
As a lifelong supporter and former player of the Saints, and a child of the town too, Wellens knows just how much the Challenge Cup means to all involved with the Club, and insists that the importance of that is a motivator for him and his team.
The Red V boss talks about his opposite number, Sam Burgess and the tough task that Warrington will provide on Sunday.
There is an update from the Head Coach too on Jake Wingfield too who has sadly suffered a shoulder injury and is unlikely to play for a few weeks whilst we await further checks. Wellens credits ‘Wingy’ for how well he has been performing at the start of 2024, and reaffirms whoever is selected for the matchday seventeen will be motivated to go out and perform strongly.
