Saints squad announced for Hull KR away

St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens has confirmed his 21-man squad for this Saturday's away match against Hull KR.

With a sold-out away allocation of supporters, the Saints travel to Sewell Group Craven Park for Round 10 of Betfred Super League 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.

As we head into this round of fixtures, St.Helens are currently at the top of the league standings with Catalans Dragons sat in second level on points with Saints but behind on points difference. Hull KR are currently 5th on the ladder and come into this fixture of the back of one of their best performances of the season so far over Wigan last week. The Robins are one of four teams sat two points behind our club, in what’s looking to be quite a tight race this season.

Saints are looking to make it three wins in a row after a late and vital Jonny Lomax drop goal against Huddersfield Giants last Thursday night ensured a victory.

Wellens makes two changes to the team that got that win over the Giants with Tommy Makinson and Sam Royle stepping out of the squad, whilst Lewis Dodd and Jake Wingfield are both back in contention for selection following injuries.

The Saints boss also gave injury updates on Alex Walmsley, who has had surgery this week and will be out for around 16 weeks, however there was positive news on fellow prop Agnatius Paasi who has returned to training with the team and is lining up match minutes with our Reserves in the coming weeks.

Over 800 of the Saints faithful are heading to East Hull, we can’t wait to see those who are making the trip in the stands!
