Two of our Saints were out and about on other duties on Saturday and Sunday, here’s your recap on how they got on…
York Knights 16-36 Whitehaven – Brett Bailey
Continuing his loan spell with Whitehaven, Bailey for a fourth week running featured for the Cumbrian team, coming off the interchanges bench against the hosting York Knights.
Haven dominated the fixture to go into the changing rooms at the LNER Community Stadium 0-26 up at half time. Following the break they posted ten more points to all but confirm the win. Perhaps taking their foot off the gas allowed York to grab some late points to soften the result.
Swinton Lions 12-38 Bradford Bulls – Jonny Vaughan
For a third straight week Vaughan started at right centre for the Lions on dual-registration.
Swinton fell to a loss against the Bulls who hit their straps in the opening forty and hit a ten-minute purple patch to score three times.
