Emily Baggaley leaves Saints Women

Emily Baggaley has left Saints Women to re-join former club Warrington Wolves on a permanent deal...

After spending the past month out on loan at her former club, Baggaley has made the decision to return to Warrington for more playing time.

Baggaley joined Saints from the Wolves ahead of the 2024 season, but found playing time hard to come by with her only appearance coming in the Nines Tournament.

She featured three times whilst out on loan at Warrington, scoring a try in their 10-16 at Featherstone Rovers last weekend.

Head Coach Matty Smith said: “Although it is disappointing to see Emily leave the club, we respect the fact that she has an opportunity for more gametime elsewhere.

“I want to thank Emily for her hard work during her time at the club and wish her all the best in the future.”

Head of Women’s Pathways & Performance Jodie Cunningham added: “Whilst we are sad to see Emily leave the Club, we appreciate that match opportunities have been tough to come by this season and understand this is the best decision for her at this time to get game time this season.

“On behalf of all involved with the Saints Women, we would all like to wish Emily all the best for the rest of Betfred Women’s Super League season and beyond, and thank her for her efforts in the Red V during her time here.”

Saints would like to wish Emily all the best for the future.
