Both St.Helens' First Team and Women's Team head over to the Brick Community Stadium to take on Wigan Warriors on Friday, 12th July.
- Wigan Warriors Women vs St.Helens Women – 5:30pm KO – Betfred Women’s Super League – Round 8
- Wigan Warriors vs St.Helens – 8pm KO – Betfred Super League – Round 17
There will be double the Derby Day action against our nearest and dearest rivals at their home, first up our Saints Women will be looking to extend the winning run from seven to eight matches in all competitions.
Last Saturday, our four times in a row reigning Women’s Challenge Cup winners beat their fellow Wembley finalists for a third time in 2024 at AMT Headingley. It was an important away day victory too as the Saints went level on points at the top of the Betfred Women’s Super League table heading into the second half of the 2024 season.
Meanwhile, the First Team will be highly motivated, not only because of The Derby, but to put right some wrongs after back-to-back narrow defeats – both by just two points. Currently at the top of the table are Wigan, then there are four sides tied on points but Saints have the better points advantage to be in second heading into Round 17.
Saints will be fighting for their second win over the current World Club Champions in 2024, after a hard fought 12-4 result over the Warriors on Good Friday.
Over 3,500 Saints supporters already have their tickets for Saints’ trip to Wigan! Are you going to be in that number?
