This week for the Saints

A busy week ahead with four St.Helens all hitting the road for action!

We kick things off on Wednesday evening over in West Yorkshire with the Under 16s taking on Huddersfield Giants, followed by a Double Header at Wigan with both the Women’s Team and First Team facing the old foe. Saturday lunchtime will close the week out with the Reserves also taking on the Warriors.

See the key information for all four matches below.

Scholarship vs Huddersfield Giants (A)

Two matches remain in the Under 16s season and our Saints are looking to shake off a defeat to Leeds Rhinos last time out and get a result on the road over the Giants.

Our Scholars are looking to add their third win of the campaign this Wednesday night.

  • Wednesday, 10th July
  • Kick-off at 7pm
  • Huddersfield YMCA RUFC, Laund Hill, HD3 3XF
  • Entry is £5 for Adults, £2 for Under 16’s

Women vs Wigan Warriors (A)

Last Saturday, our four times in a row reigning Women’s Challenge Cup winners beat their fellow Wembley finalists for a third time in 2024 at AMT Headingley. It was an important away day victory too as the Saints went level on points at the top of the Betfred Women’s Super League table heading into the second half of the 2024 season.

Saints Women will be looking to extend the winning run from seven to eight matches in all competitions.

  • Friday, 12th July
  • Kick-off at 5:30pm
  • The Brick Community Stadium, WN5 0UH
  • Match tickets are available online at

First Team vs Wigan Warriors (A)

Paul Wellens men will be highly motivated, not only because of The Derby, but to put right some wrongs after back-to-back narrow defeats – both by just two points. Currently at the top of the table are Wigan, then there are four sides tied on points but Saints have the better points advantage to be in second heading into Round 17.

Saints will be fighting for their second win over the current World Club Champions in 2024, after a hard fought 12-4 result over the Warriors on Good Friday.

  • Friday, 12th July
  • Kick-off at 5:30pm
  • The Brick Community Stadium, WN5 0UH
  • Match tickets are available online at

Reserves vs Wigan Warriors (A)

Derek Hardman’s Saints Reserves had their five match winning run brought to an end a fortnight ago, being just edged out at the Halliwell Jones Stadium against Warrington.

Heading into the ninth round of fixtures, Saints sit second in the Reserves League table just one point off leaders Wigan, so this should be an enthralling contest and a win would take Saints to the top of the table with three more matches to be played following this weekend’s action.

  • Saturday, 13th July
  • Kick-off at 12pm
  • Wigan RUFC, WN1 2SJ
  • Entry costs £3 for adults, £1 for concessions – card only
