Will Roberts has joined Betfred League One side Rochdale Hornets on an initial two-week loan.

The 19-year-old was performing strongly during the 2023 season for the Saints Academy, being named in the opening two Lancashire Origin squads. Saints’ dual-registration partners Swinton Lions also handed Will his professional debut in June 2023 against Batley Bulldogs, but an injury halted his season.
Will has worked hard on his rehab alongside and made his return to the field for the first time in almost a year with St.Helens Reserves in late April. Roberts has also been featuring for Swinton on loan too in recent weeks as well, and just last week was named in Paul Wellens 21-man squad for The Derby away at Wigan.
It’s a great opportunity for Roberts to join Rochdale who sit fourth in the League One table, just one point off third spot.
