After beating the league leaders Wigan Warriors in the previous round, the Saints were taking on Warrington Wolves. Whilst the Warriors are top of the table, they have played an extra league match and are level on points with the Red V, so every result is vitally important.
The Saints were taking on Warrington for the second time in the 2024 season, having beaten them 6-58 in the Challenge Cup group stage in April.
With the top of the table fight between Saints, Wigan, Leeds and York very tight, St.Helens sought to put on a big performance to keep up the pace.
