The Saints are fighting through a tough time on the injury front, and results have seen the team make unwanted history by losing for the first time in the Super League five matches in a row. As if there was any need for extra motivation, the Red V are also now down to sixth place in the league table with the play-off fight tightening up.
Our young players are getting their chance and opportunity to cut their teeth and gain vital top flight experience, such as Noah Stephens, Harry Robertson and Jonny Vaughan.
Whilst the Black & Whites only hold three victories to their name in 2024, their latest win was the shock performance/result of the year from just over a fortnight ago when they bested the Super League and World Club Champions Wigan Warriors with an incredible performance. They will be eager to make it back-to-back home wins, but Saints are desperate and in an unusual position they need to get away from.
It should make for an enthralling affair at the MKM Stadium.
