We have a fourth winner of the Liverpool John Lennon Airport Crossbar Challenge, although under slightly different and dramatic circumstances, due to a guaranteed winning prize thanks to SunExpress!
With the eyes of all the Saints faithful in the West Stand watching, our contestants at half time of our Betfred Super League home fixture against Hull KR were Mark Smith and Phil Anders and both got three attempts to hit the crossbar but sadly neither hit the mark.
With SunExpress guaranteeing a winner, there needed to be a victor between Mark & Phil, so a catching contest was called upon and boy did it provide drama! With the use of the post pad to complete a catch, possible controversy with a photographer getting in the way, and even our Academy star Tom Humphreys, who was on kicking duties, hitting the crossbar!
In the end, Phil was the winner and will receive a pair of SunExpress tickets, plus a VIP airport experience which will includes: complimentary Aspire Premium lounge access, free car parking and Fast Track security – plus a LJLA goodie bag too. Congratulations to Phil!
