St.Helens will have two matches in Huddersfield against the Giants this Sunday afternoon (1st September.) Our First Team game takes place at the John Smith's Stadium, whilst our Women's team is taking to the field at Laund Hill first.

Saints supporters who wish to make even more of their day in West Yorkshire can see both matches, albeit at different venues. Our Women’s team are on a roll and after three weeks off, they are hungry to get back playing and keep up the hunt for the League Leader’s Shield.
The First Team Saints continue to do it tough on the injury front, and after back-to-back losses they will be focused on getting an important victory as the race for the top six in Betfred Super League remains tight.
🔻 FIRST TEAM SQUAD NEWS
Paul Wellens makes two changes to the squad he last declared with Tommy Makinson now unavailable for two matches after being initially charged by the Match Review Panel following last Saturday’s match against Hull KR. This penalty notice was then reduced following a meeting with the Operational Rules Tribunal. Will Roberts is the other Saints who steps out of the previous squad.

Morgan Knowles after serving his own two-match suspension is now back available for selection, whilst youngster Leon Cowen is the other St.Helens man coming into the 21-man squad. Should Cowen be selected to play against the Giants this weekend, he would make his official Super League and Club debut.
After making his try-scoring bow last week, 18-year-old George Whitby holds his place in Wellens’ squad for the match against Huddersfield.

😇 WOMEN’S TEAM SQUAD NEWS
Matty Smith has named his 21-woman squad to travel to West Yorkshire on Sunday to face Huddersfield Giants Women, making two changes to his squad with Erin Stott and Paige Travis replacing Faye Gaskin and Emily Rudge.
Saints are currently on a twelve-game winning run across all competitions. Their only defeat of the 2024 season came against York Valkyrie in the opening league game of the year back in April.
It is the third meeting between the two sides in the 2024 season, first meeting in the Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter-Final, a game Saints won 74-0. Two weeks later, the Red V ran riot in a 60-6 victory in the Betfred Women’s Super League at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
A reminder that this Women’s match on Sunday gets underway at 12pm Huddersfield YMCA RUFC, Laund Hill. Tickets are available on the gate priced at £6 for Adults and £2 for Juniors wishingto attend the game.
