Following a top of the league finish in a season full of changes for our reserves side we were rewarded with a home grand final at the end of the year.
It was tight at the top with just a point separating us and the warriors, meaning they would have to travel to our ground for the end of season showpiece.
With a tight win last time out for The Saints against Hull KR, we would go into the game high on confidence, but knowing we would need an improved performance to beat the team who had ran us close all season.
Wigan on the other hand would come in high on confidence having just put a big score on Hull FC, and wanting to retain the trophy having won last season’s reserves grand final against us at Robin Park.
