Knockout rugby league as St.Helens head to Warrington and the winning team with progress into the Betfred Super League Semi-Finals! Follow the match with our detailed coverage right here on saintsrlfc.com.
After finishing the regular Super League campaign in sixth place, the Saints have a goal to make even more history by going all the way to Old Trafford and lifting the trophy from a position that no other team has done. It will be a tough challenge, but Paul Wellens and his players up for it!
With a number of senior players now back available for match selection, with some battle-hardening minutes in the bank, especially following last week’s play-offs-like game away against Leigh. The Saints will be looking to shake off that tight defeat and learn lessons from the fixture now that it is do-or-die rugby.
Warrington finished the season in third place after pushing for a top two finish, but the Wolves have had a renaissance of form under coach Sam Burges and will be very tough opposition on their own turf. The Saints will be fighting to get the win over a team that has got the win in both the league and the Cup so far in 2024.
Last season the Red V and Wire met at this stage of the Play-Offs but with the roles as host reversed. In James Roby’s final home match as a St.Helens player he led our team to a 16-8 victory. Can we do it again this year but away from home?
