Four St.Helens First Team players have been named in the 24-man England squad that will face Samoa in the ABK Beer Test Series.
The two-match series against Samoa starts on Sunday, 27th October at The Brick Community Stadium in Wigan with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm, followed by the second match at AMT Headingley Stadium in Leeds on Saturday, 2nd November at 2:30pm.
Daryl Clark, Morgan Knowles, Matty Lees, and Jack Welsby are our four Saints on England duty.
All four played a part in last year’s series whitewash over Tonga, with Clark, Lees and Welsby played in all three victories last autumn. Matty Lees and Jack Welsby also both started for England in the mid-season international against France, with Welsby scoring twice in that fixture.

Head Coach Shaun Wane speaking about his squad selection that will face Samoa said: “I’m really excited by the squad I’ve been able to pick ahead of our two-game Test Series against Samoa.
“We know it’s going to be a tough test against the Samoans and there is already a lot of history between us from the Rugby League World Cup two years ago.
“All of the players have picked based on their form over the last 12 months whether that be in the Betfred Super League or Down Under in the NRL and I’m confident heading into next week’s opener in Wigan.
“Following on from an impressive crowd at Old Trafford this past weekend, I am hoping the Rugby League fans come out in numbers at both Wigan and Leeds and get behind England.”
