The St.Helens First Team have reported in and the prep for the 2025 rugby league season is underway, as Pre-Season has now started!
Thursday morning saw the large majority of our squad arrive at the Totally Wicked Stadium for the initially private couple of days, which was all kicked off by an important meeting fronted up by Head Coach Paul Wellens.
That first meeting allowed new players Tristan Sailor and Lewis Murphy the chance to introduce themselves to their peers. It was a similar story for new Assistant Coach Eamon O’Carroll, who got to meet the players he will now be working with.
Our third 2025 recruit, Kyle Feldt, is expected to be in the UK very soon and will begin getting ready for his first season in the Red V.
Our England players Daryl Clark, Morgan Knowles, Matty Lees and Jack Welsby after their involvement in the series victory over Samoa will have a little bit more time off before coming back to work.
Lee Briers is set to his return to his hometown club imminently though following his work as England Men’s Assistant Coach in the last month.
Whilst Thursday saw the return of the majority of our senior Saints, our younger players have been in for around a week now as part of ‘Rookies Camp’. This period has been productive for our young Saints who are going to experience a full-time Pre-Season for the first time, and bond with their teammates further.
Our players have begun their hard work getting prepared for the 2025 Betfred Super League competition, on the field, in the gym, our wrestle room and beyond!
