St.Helens Women can confirm forward Megan Williams has chosen to depart the team to explore a different opportunity.
A product of the Saints Women’s Academy after joining from local clubs Thatto Heath Crusaders (league) and Liverpool St Helens (union), Megan developed and came through our Under 19s team.
Williams joined the Red V Women’s First Team ranks in the 2022 season, and her first senior spell of match action came in the Women’s Nines competition that year.
Megan made her official debut for the Saints Women during the 2023 season in an away Group Stage game in the Women’s Challenge Cup against London. Her first senior season saw her register three match appearances, and score twice.
In the season just gone, Williams began earning more match opportunities, going on to make a further 11 appearances and 7 tries, meaning she leaves the Club with 14 appearances, 9 tries, and 36 points.
St.Helens would like to thank Megan for her efforts as a Saint, and wish her well for the future.
