Paige Travis to depart Saints to join Parramatta

St.Helens can confirm that Saints Women’s back-rower Paige Travis will be taking on a new challenge in 2025 with NRLW’s Parramatta Eels.

Paige Travis has been proudly sponsored by Bully Boy in 2024.

Travis first joined the Red V after being spotted with Littleborough Rugby Union ahead of the 2019 season and made her debut in that campaign.

Following the restart of the Women’s Super League competition following the Covid-19 pandemic, Travis proved herself to be an important member of the Saints Women.

In 2021, Paige was part of the team that secured a historic treble of trophies winning the Betfred Women’s Super League, the BWSL League Leaders’ Shield, and the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.

Travis played her role in our history-making Saints Women lifting the Challenge Cup four times in a row between 2021 and 2024; including the first Women’s Challenge Cup Final to be played at Wembley Stadium in 2023.

Her final season before heading down under was a memorable one with the Red V winning the 2024 Women’s Challenge Cup once again at Wembley, and earning the Women’s League Leaders’ Shield but falling just short of another historic treble with a heartbreaking loss in the Grand Final.

In all, Travis played 65 times for St.Helens, scoring 35 tries for a total of 140 points.

The Rochdale native has earned international honours with England including playing at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup. Travis has eight caps to her name so far, the latest came in a dominant 82-0 victory over Wales at the start of November in which she also scored a try.

Reflecting on her time with the Saints, Travis thanked the Club and said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Saints and I want to thank everyone that I’ve met along my journey. My six years at this incredible club has taught me a lot about myself, both on and off the field. I love the girls and the staff, they have become part of my family – but it’s time for me to push myself and take this next step in my career.

“Thank you also to all the fans who have supported me at Saints, and the young girls with my name on their shirt, or who have worn my hairstyle for their games! I could not be prouder to have been a part of this amazing club, but Once A Saint, Always A Saint…”

The Club would like to thank Paige for all her efforts for our Saints Women, and we wish her the best for her new challenge in Australia next year.
