St.Helens' First Team & Women's team found out who they are set to face in the 2025 Betfred Challenge Cup, following the draw of Round Three (Men's) and the Group Stage (Women's).
For the Men’s competition, the twelve Betfred Super League clubs have entered the Cup at an earlier stage in 2025, with a seeded draw that guarantees an away tie to one of the 20 Second Round winning teams.
Due to the weather over the past weekend, 14 of the 17 First Round ties were sadly postponed, with the 20 Second Round ties still to be played too – meaning there were a total of 66 clubs featuring in this draw, including 31 community clubs.
St.Helens will face one of four teams; Stanley Rangers or Hunslet ARLFC, West Hull or Edinburgh Eagles over the weekend of the 7th to the 9th of February. The First Round fixtures are set to be played this coming weekend, and the Club would like to wish all four teams relating to our Third Round tie the very best of luck, with the excitement of coming to visit one of those ground very soon!
Meanwhile, the Women’s Group Stage draw was made too, with last season’s top four Betfred Women’s Super League sides seeded in one pool, and then drawn to play two more sides from the second pool of teams.
Saints’ Challenge Cup defence, vying for a fifth trophy in a row, begins in April against Warrington Wolves and Cardiff Demons.
