The Club welcomed welcome representatives of the British Army Rugby League Team to the Totally Wicked Stadium, as we look ahead of The Capital Challenge!
Head Coach Cpl Leigh Paul-Rientoul and captain of the team Spr Michael McDonald came to the home of the Saints for a photo call alongside our Reserves Head Coach Ian Talbot, player Harvey Braddish, and our Club’s Leadership, Performance & Culture Coach James Roby.
All five men spoke to Saints TV to discuss the importance of The Capital Challenge, which doubles up as a charitable and engagement event between the military and rugby league on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.
Taking place at the historic and prestigious Honourable Artillery Company in London, the game between the Army and Saint will be followed by a formal reception in the evening; a showcase of the sport of Rugby League in the Capital.
The entire event will be raising money for two charitable causes; the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
The Charity Dinner in support of the RLB and MNDA will include a three-course meal with canapes, a charitable auction, and an incredible on-stage panel. With Saints legend Paul Sculthorpe as compere, James Roby, Jodie Cunningham, Martin Offiah, and Jamie Jones-Buchanan, all legends of our sport, will be at the Honourable Artillery Company to share stories of their careers.
A perfect evening of networking away as organizations from both military and sporting environments can meet and celebrate Rugby League in our Capital, at one of the oldest military organizations in the world – the HAC.
