Match tickets for St.Helens' visit to the Sewell Group Craven Park to take on West Hull in the Third Round of the 2025 Betfred Challenge Cup are now on sale!
The match will take place at the home of fellow Betfred Super League side Hull KR on Saturday, 8th February, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm.
It is a historic clash as it will mark the first time that St.Helens will have faced amateur opposition in a competitive match since September of 1969 when Saints beat Maryport in the Lancashire Cup.
Just one week out from the start of league matters and serving as the competitive start of the 2025 rugby league season, Paul Wellens’ men will be seeking valuable early season match minutes, and to progress through to the Fourth Round of our sport’s oldest knockout competition.
All 12 Super League clubs enter the Challenge Cup a round earlier in 2025, via a seeded draw that guaranteed the 12 top flight teams would be drawn an away game to one of the 20 Second Round winners.
To ensure that plenty of supporters for both Saints and West Hull will be able to attend the knockout fixture, the match has been moved to Sewell Group Craven Park.
As one of the most consistent sides in the National Conference League (NCL) West Hull have progressed to this stage of the Challenge Cup with a dominant home win over Edinburgh Eagles 90-0, followed by an away day victory over Hunslet ARLFC, the reigning NCL Champions, to setup a dream tie for West Hull against the 13-times Challenge Cup holders – St.Helens.
