St.Helens come back to the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday, 17th July, to face local foes Leigh Leopards for the first time in 2025!
Paul Wellens’ Saints return home after a fortnight on the road for this exciting Round 19 kick-off fixture in the Betfred Super League. Heading into this week of action, the Saints and the Leopards are separated in the table by a single league point in fourth and third positions.
The Saints hold a five-match winning run following victories home and away over both Leeds and Salford, and an away win over Hull FC. Last time out, Wellens’ men put on a phenomenal defensive performance at AMT Headingley Stadium to keep the in-form Rhinos from scoring, and in immense hot temperatures got a 0-6 result.
Adrian Lam’s Leigh side have enjoyed a strong two weeks at home, beating the top two sides in the table. Firstly, the Leopards secured a win over Wigan 18-8, followed by a 28-10 performance against table topping Hull KR on Saturday afternoon.
The battles in the top six race continue to heat up, with the Red V and the Leythers both motivated to keep up their strong form. Matches between Saints and Leigh in recent seasons have been physical, bruising, and explosive encounters, and you can expect the same this Thursday night.
