Leon Cowen speaks to Saints TV after making his official St.Helens and Super League debut.
Whilst it came in a tough defeat against Leigh Leopards, Leon Cowen has achieved a long-held dream to make his debut, becoming the 1,299th man to take to the field for our club.
Leon reminds us of his story, how as a young Academy player he joined the Saints and has nothing but praise for the way he was welcomed, before going on to become our Under 18s captain. As skipper too, he would lead the St.Helens Academy side to Grand Final glory to become the 2023 Academy Champions.
The result certainly took something of a shine off the night for Leon, but it was still a night to remember for him and his family.
