Two of our Saints sides will visit the DIY Kitchens Stadium to take on Wakefield Trinity this week.
St.Helens’ weekly fixture preview – This week for the Saints – is sponsored Joseph James Furniture Outlet.
Friday night sees the Saints First Team in Betfred Super League action, and then on Saturday afternoon our Academy team play their final away fixture of the regular season.
We also have six Saints in contention to play in the Wales Women vs England Women international on Saturday afternoon!
The key details for this week’s fixtures can be viewed below.
FRIDAY
First Team vs Wakefield Trinity (A)
Paul Wellens’ Saints go into Round 21 on the back of a professional 40-0 win over Castleford Tigers, a result moved the Red V into fourth place in the league table. However, the Play-Offs race continues to be tight with seven rounds of the season to go, and Wakefield are firmly in the hunt.
Trinity beat Leeds Rhinos in the first week of Super League’s split round to move into the top six of the league ladder, before enjoying a week off with no action. They will be out to retain that spot in the standings, and get some revenge over the Saints.
The Saints have already beaten Wakefield twice, both at home and away, in 2025. Can they make it a triple?
- Friday, 8th August 2025
- Kick-off at 8pm
- DIY Kitchens Stadium, WF1 5EY

Derek Traynor’s young Saints are currently fifth in the Academy league table, whilst Wakefield are in ninth but just two points behind the Red V.
So far in the 2025 campaign, our Under 18s’ have five wins and four losses going into Saturday’s match against Wakefield.
