On Sunday afternoon (17th August) we return to the Totally Wicked Stadium to take on the Huddersfield Giants in round 22 of the Betfred Super League season!
We return home this Sunday as we welcome the Huddersfield Giants to the Totally Wicked Stadium with kick off set for 2:30pm in this round 22 clash, immediately following our Women’s round 10 clash, also against the Huddersfield Giants.
Round 21 saw Paul Wellens’ men take to the field away from home against Wakefield for the second time this year, and make it three wins from three this season against Trinity with three commanding performances. The latest of these performances saw us run in six tries in a 4-34 victory. The win saw us return to fourth in the table as the play-Offs race continues to twist and turn towards the back end of the season.
Huddersfield have improved over the course of this season, and having knocked off Hull FC a couple of weeks ago in arguably their biggest win of the season, as well as Warrington and Castleford in recent weeks, they’ll come into this one looking to build on that momentum and show where they have come since the start of the season.
This will be our second meeting with the Giants this season, having beaten them away from home in a 4-46 win that saw Tristan Sailor and the currently injured Jack Welsby steal the show with outstanding performances.
With ground to make up on the teams above us, and a home Play-Off still within reach, we know how important it could be for the complexion of our season to come away from this one with a win.
Luke Robinson will be aware that, while the playoffs are out of reach, moving up the table is still a possibility for the Giants with six games to go, and that’s sure to make for an engaging contest at the Totally Wicked Stadium!

Match tickets will also permit entry to watch the Saints Women taking also taking on Huddersfield Giants, which will now kick-off at 11:45am.
