It's time for you to cast your vote for The Turmeric Co. Men's Try of the Season 2025! We've picked four of the best try of the month winners to take your pick from!
New recruit for the 2025 season, Lewis Murphy is up first, with this absolute blinder in round one as we took on the Salford Red Devils at home. From the kick off, the ball found it’s way to Mark Percival who broke through the line of onrushing defenders, and played the ball to Tristan Sailor who showed his speed and then skill to pass the ball off the deck to Curtis Sironen, who in turn found Lewis on the wing, and with men still to beat, he showed his pace to touch down for his first Super League try in the Red Vee!
Up next, young gun Harry Robertson. Away to newly promoted Wakefield, a ground which has proved a banana skin for a lot of teams this season, Harry didn’t let that play on his mind as he pulled off this exceptional breakaway try, pouncing on a loose ball as Wakefield attempted to stretch our defensive line, and showing a clean pair of heels as he turned defense into attack and raced away to touch down and settle some nerves with the game still close at 6-8!
The second of three young stars in the vote this year, George Whitby, up next as he finished off this long range team try against the Catalans Dragons. With an overlap on the right edge, but 80-meters to go, the ball found its way to Jack Welsby who drew two defenders on an already stretched edge, and played a quick ball to Mark Percival, who in turn found Tristan Sailor on the wing who showed his pace to break the line, and some exceptional support play from George Whitby saw him there to collect the ball, and beat an onrushing defender to touch down!
Our latest academy graduate for 2025 isn’t a stranger to an exceptional try, and this is the pick of the bunch for Owen Dagnall. A seeming master of a try from nothing, the ball found it’s way out to Owen on the wing against Castleford, and he attacked the line, carving through the defenders untouched, finding himself in open space. With three defender closing in Owen played a kick over the top for himself to chase, and chase he did, with the fullback to beat, and Tom Amone in front of him, Owen found his way to the front of the pack to touch his kick down, scoring an outrageous try!
