The first of two matches against Leigh Leopards kicks off the weekend on Friday night with our First Team in Betfred Super League action.

On Saturday, both our Men’s and Women’s Academy teams are in West Yorkshire, with the Women’s Under 19s facing Featherstone, and our Men’s Under 18s in a Semi-Final against Leeds.

Sunday afternoon brings the curtain down on our week, with the Women’s team finishing off their regular season campaign against the Leopards, with the Semi-Finals right around the corner.

FRIDAY

First Team vs Leigh Leopards (A)

The big games keep on coming for Paul Wellens’ men, as we edge ever closer to the Play-Offs. Our next match as part of The Final Charge is a visit to the home of the Leopards for our second meeting of the season, as the team in fourth place host the team in fifth in the penultimate regular season round of the campaign.

Every result in recent weeks has seen teams jostling for position, and with just two weeks left until knockout rugby, our Saints face a fellow side looking to head into the Play-Offs in strong fashion.

Back in July, the Red V hosted the Leopards in a tight contest which went the way of the visitors, A small slice of revenge is up for grabs then for our men this Friday night.

SATURDAY

Women’s Academy vs Featherstone Rovers (A)

Whilst this match will be Round 12 of our Under 19s Women’s season, it is the penultimate match of the campaign with a re-arranged match against Huddersfield still to come.

It will be their third match in thirteen days, after narrow home losses to York 10-14, and then Wigan 14-16 just three days following the Valkyrie fixture.

Graham Cranny’s young Saints head to Featherstone looking for their fourth victory of the year.

Academy vs Leeds Rhinos (A)

The St.Helens Academy are on the hunt for a third successive Academy Grand Final appearance, having won the 2023 competition but falling to a narrow defeat in the 2024 finale.

Derek Traynor’s young Saints finished third in the league table, setting up a knockout clash with Leeds Rhinos who came second. The other Semi-Final will be Warrington Wolves hosting Wigan Warriors.

The two teams that win the Semi-Finals will then face one another in the Academy Grand Final, which will be played at the team that finished highest in the table’s home ground.

SUNDAY

Women vs Leigh Leopards (A)

St.Helens Women are stinging from their first defeat of the Betfred Women’s Super League season, and just narrowly falling short of retaining the League Leaders’ Shield.

Craig Richards and Derek Hardman’s Saints head to the Leigh Sports Village for their second meeting of the year with the Leopards. When the Leythers came to our ground back in July, the Red V ran riot winning 80-0.
