St.Helens players George Delaney and Daryl Clark have been charged by the Match Review Panel following last Friday night's Betfred Super League Round 26 match against Leigh Leopards.
St.Helens fell to a 28-10 away defeat against Leigh Leopards at the Leigh Sports Village.
Both Delaney and Clark have been issued one Penalty Point from the fixture for a Grade A offence. Prop forward Delaney’s was for ‘Late contact on passer’ charge, whilst Clark’s was for ‘Late contact on kicker’.
Delaney’s Penalty Points total for the previous 12 months before Round 26 was five, and as a result of this additional one taking him up to six, he has been given the sanction of a one-match suspension. This means the young prop will not be available for the Saints’ upcoming clash against Castleford Tigers this Friday night.
Clark’s Penalty Points tally from the past twelve months is now at three, and he has been given a fine.
Charges are under the new on-field sentencing guidelines, which have been introduced for 2025.
