The 1,300th player to represent St.Helens R.F.C., Shane Wright spoke to Saints TV after marking his debut with a win over Castleford Tigers.
On loan and stepping into a new club, Wright was delighted to make his first appearance — and even more so to get the victory, despite a frustrating final ten minutes.
It was also a comeback outing for the back-rower, having torn his bicep earlier in the season against Saints while playing for Salford. That made the night feel all the more rewarding.
With the Red V now heading into the Play-Offs and an Eliminator clash against Leeds next week, Shane is eager to put his hand up for selection.
