St.Helens Women’s 2025 Grand Final Squad

Joint Head Coaches Derek Hardman & Craig Richards have named their 21-woman Saints squad for this Sunday's Betfred Women's Super League Grand Final against Wigan Warriors.

It all comes down to this.

A season’s work has been building to this point, and the Saints Women can finish the year as Champions, but to do so, they will need to beat Wigan Warriors Women on their own turf.

The Saints and the Warriors were separated by a single league point following the end of the regular season, and both earned home Semi-Finals. Richards & Hardman’s team booked their place in the showpiece game with a hard-fought, battling 12-8 victory over the 2024 champions York Valkyrie, ending their two-season reign. Whilst the Warriors comfortably saw off Leeds Rhinos, 38-0.

It is back-to-back Women’s Grand Final appearances for the Red V, with the chance to go one better after falling short in last year’s match. It also offers the chance to right some wrongs from the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium from earlier in the season.

The two league meetings between the Red V and Wigan have been highly competitive contests. In June, St.Helens earned a 22-22 draw at Robin Park Arena in front of a record crowd for the Warriors, and then the League Leaders’ Shield shootout in Round 13 at the start of the September was just edged by the Warriors, 20-24, at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Saints supporters are urged to get over to Wigan to cheer on the team, as we look to finish this campaign with silverware.
