A young outside back off the renowned Saints Academy production line... Owen Dagnall grabbed his chance in 2025 and took it with both hands!
The season started in a big way for the former Halton Farnworth Hornets junior, after making his official St.Helens debut in a Challenge Cup victory against West Hull ARLFC at Sewell Group Craven Park.
An impressive but short stint on dual registration with Halifax Panthers showcased Daggers’ instinctive style of play, scoring from a chip and chase away at York Knights.
He would make his Super League debut in May, away against Huddersfield Giants, coming on for Mark Percival (one of Owen’s heroes as a kid). In June he made his first official start in the top-flight away against Salford Red Devils, scoring a try to make it a day to remember.
The tries kept coming, including important ones against Leeds Rhinos, not least his game-winning score at AMT Headingley during the summer, in terribly hot conditions.
Here’s a look at his tries from his first full-time season as a professional rugby league player!
