The draw has been made for the Third Round of the 2026 Betfred Challenge Cup.
For the Men’s Challenge Cup, the fourteen Betfred Super League clubs enter the competition in the Third Round, with a seeded draw that guarantees an away tie to one of the Second Round winning teams.
St.Helens have been drawn against the winner of the Second Round tie between Blackbrook and Workington Town, with that tie to be played away from home over the weekend of 6th to 8th of February 2026.
The Second Round will be played over the weekend of the 24th-25th of January 2026. The Club would like to wish both Blackbrook and Workington the very best of luck for the fixture, and we look forward to facing the winner.
For local community club Blackbrook, a win over the Cumbrian side would setup a thrilling, first-ever St Helens derby. However, somewhat fittingly, if Town are successful the Saints would go to Workington just as they did to kick-off the title-winning Super League season of 1996.
