St.Helens' Reserves team will be taking on Wakefield Trinity this Saturday, 31st January 2026, at Ruskin Drive Sports Village, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm.
Ahead of the new Reserves campaign getting underway later in February, Ian Talbot, and his fellow Coaching Staff involved with our youth development, will be keen to have the young Saints getting match minutes under their belts with the new season just under a month away.
The Saints will welcome Wakefield to Ruskin Drive for what should be an exciting fixture, with a number of our younger First Team squad expected to be in contention to play, alongside some of our Reserves and Academy talent.
Last season, the Red V Reserves took on the Trin in April, and comfortably beat the West Yorkshire side 42-12.
After the frost back in early January sadly forced a cancellation of the Saints’ planned friendly away against Swinton Lions, where members of our Reserves & Academy squad were expected to play, this upcoming match at the weekend will be ideal preparation before the new season gets underway.
