As we move closer to the start of the 2026 season, we asked two local Saints fans and avid shirt collectors, Rory and Jess to take us through some of their collections and discuss some of their favourite shirts worn in the 30 years of Super League.
Our 2026 Home shirt pays homage to our glorious past, whilst inspiring the future.
More specifically we’ve looked back to the inaugural season of Super League – 1996.
It’s 30 years since this momentous campaign during which we won the League title and a memorable Challenge Cup victory at Wembley.
The kit worn during that season has since become iconic, and a retro favourite amongst Saints fans. Worn by the likes of Steve Prescott MBE, Tommy Martyn, Keiron Cunningham, Chris Joynt, Anthony Sullivan, Bobbie Goulding and Paul Newlove to name but a few.
