St.Helens will face Castleford Tigers away in the Fourth Round of the 2026 Betfred Challenge Cup.
The match will be played over the weekend of the 14th-15th of March at The OneBore Stadium, with the full fixture details to be confirmed in due course.
It will be the first meeting in the Challenge Cup between the Saints and the Tigers since the 2021 Final at Wembley Stadium, when the Red V were victorious 12-26 and brought home the famous trophy for the first time in 13 years.
In 2026, St Helens R.F.C. will proudly celebrate its heritage from the 1996 season, marking 30 years since a historic Double, when the Saints won both the inaugural Super League competition and the Challenge Cup. That Cup campaign also brought a Fourth Round meeting with Castleford, and 30 years on, the two sides will face each other once again in the Fourth Round of the competition.
Paul Rowley’s men progressed to this stage of the competition with a professional performance against Workington Town, running in 17 tries in a 2-98 win.
The last sixteen teams that remain in the knockout competition found out their opponents with the draw taking place live on BBC Radio Manchester on Monday night.
A spot in the Quarter Finals will go to the winners in the Fourth Round, edging ever closer to booking a spot in the Final at Wembley on Saturday, 30th May.
