Head Coach Paul Rowley spoke to the press following his side's 20-18 victory at the BrewDog Stadium over Leigh Leopards.
Rowley described the match as an absolute rollercoaster, and was delighted to see his side overcome a growing list of injuries to secure a home victory.
The Saints boss acknowledged the disruption caused by Jonny Lomax and Nene Macdonald’s early exits due to issues, making game management a real challenge. However, he gave full credit to his players for sticking to their tasks under adversity against a tough and strong Leigh team.
Acknowledging the stress of the 80 minutes, Rowley praised the team’s second-half control. As the first home game of a new era at BrewDog Stadium, he felt the occasion was particularly significant and everyone, staff, players and supporters, all played their part.
