First Team vs Catalans Dragons (A)
Fresh off an important and hard-fought victory over Leigh Leopards last Friday night, the Saints will be flying over to France to re-ignite a fiery feud against the Dragons.
Catalans have had a mixed start to the 2026 season; with wins over Batley Bulldogs in the Challenge Cup and then an opening round home win over Huddersfield Giants. However, last Friday they suffered defeat to the newly promoted Bradford Bulls, who strongly beat the French side 28-10 at Odsal. Dragons Head Coach Joel Tomkins will be looking for a response this coming Saturday evening.
St.Helens’ last visit to Perpignan will be a boost, especially after their thrilling 13-14 victory. This win marked the Saints’ first league away win over the Catalans since 2018, thanks to two late Jonny Lomax drop goals. Rowley’s Saints are aiming for consistent positive performances going forward, and a win over the Dragons would be a strong sign of their intent in the early stages of the new season.
