It was a thrilling contest against Leigh Leopards, and saw our team put in a gutsy performance to get the first win of the season.
Our first home match of any season is always an exciting affair, but with our new home name as the BrewDog Stadium, the opening of our new bar The Marching Inn, and the game serving as the first home competitive fixture under Paul Rowley – the atmosphere was electric all night long.
Down on men from early on in the game, the scoreboard went back and forth between the Saints and the Leopards, but the Red V came from behind and managed the game firmly in the second half to secure an important victory.
