Loan news: Paasi, Cowen, Sinclair, Walsh & Braddish

St.Helens players Agnatius Paasi, Leon Cowen, Alfie Sinclair, Luca Walsh, and Harvey Braddish have all gone out on loan from St.Helens R.F.C.

Saints forward Leon Cowen joins the new Halifax Panthers club, which has become active this past week. He had initially joined the previous Halifax Panthers club on a season-long loan; however, following its compulsory liquidation and the removal of RFL membership status, that loan was stopped, but now a new season-long loan has been agreed for Leon with the new West Yorkshire-based side.

Halifax will take on London Broncos this weekend at The Shay Stadium, and we wish Leon and the rest of the new Panthers club all the best for their first fixture.

Agnatius Paasi and Harvey Braddish have joined Salford RLFC on one-week loans. The two Saints forwards will be in contention to play under coach Mike Grady as Salford head up to Workington for the Round 6 Championship clash. It offers the chance for important match minutes for Paasi and Braddish. Harvey, a product of the Saints Academy, has been playing for our Reserves side.

Best of luck to Iggy and Harv this week whilst on loan with Salford.

Alfie Sinclair’s loan has been extended with Swinton. He came off the bench for the Lions last Sunday in an away defeat at Batley Bulldogs. Sinclair will be joined by a fellow Saint this week, with young French halfback Luca Walsh joining Swinton on a one-week loan. Should the 19-year-old feature for Paul Wood’s side, he would make his professional rugby league debut.

Good luck to both Luca and Alfie with the Lions, who host Newcastle Thunder on Sunday at Heywood Road.
