St.Helens can confirm that young winger Jacob Douglas has joined Huddersfield Giants on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old outside back will link up with the Betfred Super League side for the remainder of the campaign, providing him with an opportunity to gain valuable game time as he continues his development.
St.Helens retains a recall clause, which can be activated at any time following seven days of the loan period.
After a strong pre-season, his first as a Saint, Douglas sadly suffered an injury ahead of the opening league round of the year. However, after working hard on his rehab, Jacob is available to play, and this loan period will allow him to build match sharpness in a competitive Super League environment.
Head Coach, Paul Rowley said: “Dougie had a really strong pre-season; however, that injury just before the season started paused him a little bit, so he’s been working really hard to regain full fitness.
“Opportunities in the squad are currently a little more limited, so Jacob will be able to get valuable match time at Huddersfield, and we look forward to continuing to work with him.”
Douglas will link up with the Giants immediately and go straight into contention for their fixture against Wigan Warriors on Saturday.
