Watch the highlights as St.Helens Women played their first home match of the 2026 season at the BrewDog Stadium against Catalans Dragons. It was the first-ever meeting between the Saints Women and the Dragons, and was the second round of Group A in the 2026 Betfred Women's Challenge Cup.
St.Helens were looking to back up their strong second half against Huddersfield a fortnight earlier, which saw them comfortably beat the Giants Women by 14 points to 44.
Amy Hardcastle and Dani McGifford were both available for selection following injury recovery. For Hardcastle, it marked her first Saints match since June 2025. McGifford, the Red V’s top try-scorer in 2025, had been hard at work throughout pre-season following an ACL tear she picked up late last season.
The Dragons, now led by former York & Castleford coach Lindsay Anfield, played the Giants at Laund Hill seven days before taking on the Saints and narrowly lost out 24-22.
