This weekend at Edge Hill University, a celebration of Women's Rugby League will take place with the Women's Nines Festival 2026!
Renowned for its thrilling, inclusive and empowering environment for teams and players, the Women’s Nines Festival also promises a vibrant and welcoming experience for everyone in attendance.
Supporters can expect a joyful, high-energy day that celebrates the women’s game both on and off the field.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan, an active player, or completely new to the sport, the Women’s Nines Festival offers a unique opportunity to come together and support Women’s Rugby League in an uplifting and inspiring setting.
There is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Alongside the on-field action, spectators can look forward to:

- Food and refreshments
- A vibrant, inclusive festival atmosphere
The RFL is also proud to be supported by The Digivan and Nutrapreps, who will play a key role in bringing the festival to life by live-streaming the action and fuelling teams with delicious, nutritious meals throughout the event.

This year’s festival will include two separate competitions: a Challenge Grade and a Community Grade. The introduction of these grades allows more community teams to get involved, whilst maintaining competitive and enjoyable matches for all participants.
The Challenge Grade will feature teams from across both professional and community clubs, including teams from the Betfred Women’s Super League, Women’s Super League Academies, the National Championship and League 1. The diversity of teams entering will ensure a day of tightly contested matches and fun-filled action!
