Nene Macdonald spoke to Saints TV following our 40-16 home victory over the York Knights, his first match back following knee surgery.
The towering centre played the full eighty minutes after missing around seven weeks of action. Nene discusses the injury and his frustration with it, as when he first joined the club, he was striving to make a big impact and settle in quickly.
Reviewing the game against York, Macdonald believed it was a highly competitive game despite the scoreline, but he was happy to come away from our home ground, the BrewDog Stadium, with the two league points and his first try for our team.
With a semi-final on the horizon now too, Nene is keen to help the Saints reach Wembley, as it would be a huge moment for him too in his rugby league journey.
