It's time for St.Helens fans to make their choice for The Turmeric Co. Try of the Month for St.Helens' Men's and Women's First Teams!
St.Helens’ First Team had four matches in the month of April, starting with the Good Friday Derby against Wigan Warriors. The second of Bill Leyland’s dramatic match-winning double ensured it would be a remarkable comeback win for the Red V, sending the BrewDog Stadium into raptures.
The Challenge Cup Quarter-Final followed for Rowley’s men, Owen Dagnall scored the pick of the bunch thanks to a beautiful Sailor pass off a scrum play as we beat Catalans Dragons at home.
Over to Hull FC for a Thursday night clash next, Sailor again setting up a score but this time with a thread-the-needle-style kick in the right corner for Kyle Feldt. An important try to seal an away day win.
Finally, in April, we hosted high-flying Wakefield and Jonny Lomax stepping back into the fray following an injury showed all his vision with a booming, 30-metre pass from the play of the ball to find Feldt in space and a trademark finish.

Derek Hardman & Craig Richards’ Saints Women played three matches in the month, starting off with the Group Stage of the Challenge Cup, firstly an away trip to Huddersfield Giants, followed by the first home match of the year against Catalans Dragons – our first-ever meeting with the French side. By topping Group A, the Saints earned a home Cup Quarter-Final against Barrow Raiders.
