St.Helens’ squad for Leeds away

Head Coach Paul Rowley has confirmed his 21-man St.Helens squad that will travel to AMT Headingley Stadium to face Leeds Rhinos on Thursday, 4th June 2026.

St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcements are sponsored by R Whittle Ltd.

It is a double header of action at Headingley too, with our Reserves side also taking on Leeds at 5:15pm.

The Saints will be fired up, looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Castleford last time out, ending a five-match winning run.

Currently third in the league table, the Saints face Leeds on their own turf, who are at the top of the table by two points. A victory on Thursday night would level the standings with the Rhinos on league points.

The Rhinos are in strong form, having secured a commanding 52-0 home win over Huddersfield Giants two weeks ago ahead of the Challenge Cup break. Plus, Leeds will be motivated to get a slice of revenge after losing out in our last meeting back in September in the Super League Eliminator Play-Off.

Trailing in the closing moments, with one play left in the game, the Red V kept possession alive with one of the most remarkable tries ever scored. Shane Wright crossed the line to secure a memorable victory and stun the Rhinos.

Thursday night’s fixture should be a belter to kick off Round 13 of the competition, as two of the league’s heavyweights collide.

Paul Rowley will preview the match with the media at his weekly press conference on Wednesday afternoon. Our fans can watch it back in full on Saints TV.

📰 SQUAD NEWS

Coach Rowley makes two changes to the squad he named last time out in Round 12, with Noah Stephens standing down after coming off the field at Castleford following a failed Head Injury Assessment; he is currently following return-to-play protocols.

Jackson Hastings, following the match against the Tigers, was issued a two-match penalty notice and so will be unavailable for this match and next week’s fixture at home against Warrington Wolves.

Coming into the 21-man squad are youngsters George Whitby and Alfie Sinclair.

Half-back Whitby starred for Salford RLFC on loan a fortnight ago in their remarkable comeback win over Halifax Panthers. Meanwhile, prop Sinclair has also been playing for Whitehaven on loan. The pair have also featured for the Saints Reserves in recent weeks.
